IndyCar Driver Killed In Crash Was Sponsored By Justin Timberlake's Label

Justin Timberlake's clothing brand, William Rast, lost a brand representative when Dan Wheldon, a two-time Indianapolis 500 winner, died in a 15-car crash during the Las Vegas Indy 300 on Sunday.

One of IndyCar's most popular stars, Wheldon was just one of several drivers sponsored by William Rast, the brand Timberlake co-founded with childhood pal Trace Ayala.

According to the brand's racing Twitter account, @WRastRacing, Rast-sponsored driver Alex Tagliana qualified fourth for the Las Vegas race. Rast also has partnered with popular driver Danica Patrick.

Wheldon won the Indy500 in 2011 with the clothing brand's name emblazoned down the side of his uniform pants.

After Wheldon's death on Sunday night, William Rast posted a photo of the driver with his Indy 500 trophy on its Facebook page with the caption, "Dan Wheldon. Indy Car Champion. 1978-2011."
