Life by the sea feels carefree and joyful, especially in the summer. I created "Dance of Peace," a 21foot tall bronze sculpture just steps away from the Atlantic Ocean. My inspiration was to create a sculpture symbolizing peace on earth. Many feel peace and happiness, when they are by the sea. When one feels that sense of peace there is no desire to engage in war. Peace starts within each one of us and the sculpture symbolizes the concept that peace is here.

The sculpture has been in place for fifteen years and it has weathered not only the warm and sunny weather but hurricanes as well! "Dance of Peace" has come to symbolize life on the Rhode Island coast and it is often featured in magazine articles, tourism brochures and even advertisements. Creating "Dance of Peace" gave me great joy and I am so happy to know that it brings joy to many who see it.
