'Dancing With The Stars' Season 14 Cast: Rumored Celebrity Contestants

'DWTS' New Cast Rumors

UPDATE: Head over to HuffPost TV to find out which rumored cast members made it onto the official season 14 "Dancing with the Stars" cast.

PREVIOUSLY: While the world will soon find out who will be toe tapping their way onto the 14th season of "Dancing with the Stars," we have the ever-churning rumor mill to satiate our palates until the official cast is announced.

From NFL stars to country crooners and "Jersey Shore" guidettes, there are more than a few oddball names that have been thrown around when it comes to who could be in the running for this year's Mirror Ball trophy.

TMZ reports that "Little House on the Prairie" star Melissa Gilbert may be taking her talents from the rolling hills to the hard streets of Los Angeles to compete on the dancing competition show. Also among the probable contenders is larger-than-life "The View" co-host, Sherri Shepherd. There's no doubt that Shepherd, who's always willing to go the extra mile for a few laughs, would keep audiences entertained when it comes to behind-the-scenes rehearsal footage. Jack Wagner, Heather Locklear's ex, is also reportedly confirmed for the show.

And how about heartthrob singer-songwriter Gavin DeGraw turning in his guitar for a pair of tights? That rumor came courtesy of One Republic singer Ryan Tedder, who told The Hollywood Reporter, "Gavin DeGraw is doing 'Dancing With the Stars.' I just heard."

Whose participation seems to be more than just a rumor? "Extra" host Maria Menounos is a sure thing on season 14, according to TMZ. The super-fit actress and TV personality will surely be privy to advice from "Extra" co-host and season three "Dancing With the Stars" alum Mario Lopez.

The rumors don't stop there. Names like Paula Deen, JWoww, Pee-wee Herman, Regis Philbin and Suzanne Somers have all been thrown into the "DWTS" top hat, too. But who's made it clear that they won't be joining the "Dancing" cast? Tim Tebow, Dolly Parton, Herman Cain and Giuliana Rancic have all nixed rumors that they'll be gliding across the ballroom floor.

"Yes, I've been approached for the new season," Rancic told E! News. "I've been a big fan of the show for years. But sadly, my schedule at the moment would never allow for the grueling rehearsal commitment. Who knows, maybe Bill and I can be on the show together one day and go toe-to-toe for the trophy."

Stay tuned to find out which stars are confirmed for "Dancing With the Stars" season 14 -- Robin Roberts announces the official cast Tuesday morning on "Good Morning America."
