Danica McKellar, AKA Winnie Cooper Cast In 'Tasmanian Devil'

Winnie Cooper Actress Gets New Starring Role

She was the object of a generation of adolescent boys' affections, and now, she'll be the object of a bunch of rabid predators' hungry cravings.

Danica McKellar, she who stole Kevin Arnold's heart in "The Wonder Years," will take some time off from her successful career as a youth math advocate to star in "Tasmanian Devil," a made-for-TV film on SyFy. The Hollywood Reporter relays that she'll be joined by Olympic speed skater Apolo Anton Ohno in the story of base jumpers who invade Tasmanian national park and get chased by crazed beasts wishing to tear them apart.

So, in other words, it's the strangest TV movie you'll see next year.

McKellar has continued acting since "The Wonder Years" ended, doing voice work and featuring in TV shows such as "Inspector Mom" and "Young Justice." She'll appear in 2012 in "Mancation" and "Flatland 2: Sphereland."
