Daniel Craig Snatched Phone From Fan Who Tried To Snap Impromptu Shot Of Him And Rachel Weisz (REPORT)

Daniel Craig Loses It On Fan

007 is one man you don't want to cross.

Daniel Craig and wife Rachel Weisz are a notoriously private couple, so when a fan dared to threaten their privacy at a New York supermarket, the usually composed Brit lost it.

The fan reportedly took out his phone to grab either a photo or a video of the A-list couple when Craig yelled "Is watching me food shopping with my wife really all that interesting to you?" and grabbed the phone out of the fan's hand, reports Daily Star.

Lucky for him and luckier for the fan, Weisz kept her cool and stepped in to calm her husband down.

"Daniel was really angry, and it looked at one point like he might even destroy the phone," a source told Daily Star. "But Rachel was much more calm, and quickly stepped in to give the guy a stern but polite lecture on privacy. She really defused the situation, which could have got out of hand."

Craig returned the phone to its rightful owner but asked him to delete whatever photo of theirs he captured on there. The fan reportedly agreed, and apologized.

In an interview with British GQ in 2012 Craig explained why he's so staunch about his privacy. "I think there's a lot to be said for keeping your own counsel," Craig said, mere months after he married Weisz with only four other people in attendance. "It's not about being afraid to be public with your emotions or about who you are and what you stand for. But if you sell it off it's gone. You can't buy it back -- you can't buy your privacy back."
