Daniel Radcliffe Would Play Grown-Up Harry Potter Under One Condition

An Eloise Smidgen of hope.

Before today, the chances of Daniel Radcliffe reprising the role of Harry Potter fell somewhere between the likelihood of Robert Pattinson dousing himself in glitter again and Elijah Wood strapping on a pair of hairy Hobbit feet.

After eight movies, the boy had lived.

However, Radcliffe gave us muggles an Eloise Smidgen of hope during a recent interview with Radio Times that there might be a little magic left in him yet.

“It would depend on the script,” he said of playing Harry again as an adult. “The circumstances would have to be pretty extraordinary. But then I am sure Harrison Ford said that with Han Solo, and look what happened there! So I am saying no for now, but leaving room to backtrack in the future.”

Radcliffe seemed less than thrilled about stepping back into the Pottermania after the debut of the "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child," the two-part stage continuation of the saga.

During a visit to "Late Night with Stephen Colbert," Radcliffe admitted that he had no plans to see the production any time soon, as he prefers to avoid the fanfare.

“I feel like I want to see the show. I am genuinely intrigued and I’ve heard it’s fantastic," he explained. "But I just feel sitting in an audience of what will, for most of the near future, be very enthusiastic ‘Harry Potter’ fans might be, like, not a relaxing way to see a show."

Potterheads, heed Snape's command below, so we'll have some chance of Radcliffe returning.
