This is a wall-drawing I did at the Chelsea Art Museum. The column was an unwelcome surprise—it hadn’t been shown in the gallery diagram—but it turned out to be my favorite part of the installation. It was the first time I could walk through one of my drawings. At the Wellin this May, I will create another large, site-specific wall-drawing like this. I am taking inspiration from the new Machado and Silvetti-designed building, particularly the inner architecture like the electrical wiring and plumbing.
