Danny Kedem Quits: Anthony Weiner's Campaign Manager Steps Down

Anthony Weiner's Campaign Manager Quits

The New York Times reported Saturday that Kedem chose to step down amid renewed sexting scandal allegations against the New York City mayoral candidate, leaving the "already skeletal political team without a day-to-day leader."

Weiner confirmed the news to NY1 on Sunday. Kedem "has left the campaign. He did a remarkable job," he said. A Weiner spokesman also confirmed the news to the AP.

Kedem previously worked for a failed Staten Island congressional race, Politico reports.

Weiner recently revealed that he continued to engage in sexual online chats following his resignation from Congress, but pledged to stay in the race because "people care more about their futures than my past."

Following the additional revelations, Weiner's polling numbers plummeted.
