David Bowie And Iman's Daughter Gets Sweet Birthday Tribute From Mom

In honor of daughter Lexi Jones’ 16th birthday, the model Iman shared a rare social media photo of her child with the late David Bowie on Monday.

Over Instagram, Iman told Jones to “stay sweet” and “classy with a hint of sassy.”

The notoriously private model rarely shares personal Instagram photos, instead posting snaps of her makeup line, modeling throwbacks or her #ImanDaily quotes. The sweet black-and-white tribute to her daughter comes just seven months after the death of her husband, David Bowie, whom she married in 1992.

Despite the recent trend of supermodels’ children joining the industry ― the likes of Kaia Gerber and the Hadid sisters are now gracing magazine covers ― Jones has largely stayed out of the public spotlight. Unlike most of her peers, the stunning 16-year-old does not even have an Instagram account.

Jones’ birthday is a particularly special milestone this year, as her father started his legendary career at the same age with his first band, the Konrads.

Here’s hoping her 16th year is as memorable as her father’s.
