It appears Ziggy Stardust may have a bit more up his sleeve. In an interview with the UK's Absolute Radio, former Oasis lead guitarist Noel Gallagher admitted he'd heard that David Bowie has enough leftover material from recent effort "The Next Day" to produce an entirely fresh album.

"According to people I've spoken to, there’s another album in the pipeline," Gallagher revealed. "There was, like, 29 songs or something."

Long-standing Bowie fans pining for additional details will have to simmer down, as the extent of Gallagher's knowledge didn't stretch much further. He wasn't sure when the album would be released, speculating that it could be a decade before the material surfaces.

"I don't know what’s next for Bowie. He could disappear for another 10 years or there could be another album," he said. "He might do the greatest tour of all time or he might never gig again. Who knows?"

Apparently not Gallagher. His remarks that Bowie, 66, could embark on a giant tour, however, only punctuate the mixed messages emerging from the singer's camp. Bowie has recently said repeatedly that he is no longer interesting in touring and will not hit the road in support of "The Next Day," but his supermodel wife Iman hinted that a tour could indeed be in the works.

"We have a 12-year-old in school, so we are stuck, we can't travel," Iman reportedly told Grazia magazine about whether she'd be able to tour with Bowie while they have a young daughter. "Our schedule is around her, so I don't know. We'll have to go visit him, but we won't be on tour with him because she's in school."

Bowie has said he'd rather spend his time recording new music than touring -- or at least his producer Tony Visconti said it, as Bowie no longer gives interviews and Visconti acts as the legendary rock singer's voice to the public.

Upon its release on March 8, "The Next Day" peaked at a career-high No. 2 on the Billboard 200 albums chart and marked Bowie's first No. 1 on the UK charts since 1993. The video for the single "The Stars (Are Out Tonight)" features Bowie and doppleganger Tilda Swinton as a married couple.
