David Chiu Releases 'Moneyball' Spoof Campaign Commercial

WATCH: Mayoral Hopeful Spoofs 'Moneyball' In New Campaign Commercial

After facing criticism for being a "compromise" candidate with little personality, mayoral candidate Supervisor David Chiu released the most entertaining campaign commercial yet with an inventive spoof on the summer blockbuster Moneyball based on the Oakland A's. And in a field of mediocre campaign videos, Chiu crushed this one out of the park. (Pun most definitely intended.)

In the video, Chiu's campaign channels game-changer Billy Beane, suggesting that Chiu will change San Francisco politics the way that Beane changed baseball. ("You're threatening the way they do things. You're discounting the way beaurocrats have been running city government for years!")

Chiu isn't exactly Beane (no chair tossing?), but he's certainly convinced us that there's some personality in the suit.
