David Justice Thanks Halle Berry For 'Squashing' Abuse Rumors After Twitter Rant

He says it was never his intention to "bash" his ex-wife.

Following a lengthy Twitter rant in which he accused his ex-wife, Halle Berry, of vilifying her exes, David Justice has clarified his statements.

In a new series of tweets, the former MLB player thanked Berry for "squashing all of the rumors" that he had abused her in the past. He also informed his followers that it was never his intention to "bash" the actress with his words, he just wanted to set the record straight.

Justice spoke to the Daily Mail on Tuesday about his initial Twitter rant, explaining, "I had to say something after reading about Halle's recent marriage."

He added, "So many years ago, I didn't say anything about the accusations that I abused her, but now I have three children, ages, 15, 13 and 11, two boys and one girl, and they can read this stuff and they have friends who will read it as well, so I had to finally come out and say once and for all I never hit Halle Berry."

Berry and Justice were married for four years before their divorce in 1997. The actress was most recently wed Olivier Martinez, but the couple announced their divorce after two years of marriage in October.
