What happens when you're left standing at the altar... by your wedding planner?

One New York couple is suing celebrity wedding planner David Tutera for that very reason. According to Hector Santana and Wendylee Perez, Tutera was a no-show at the couple's November 2010 nuptials in the Dominican Republic, and reportedly gave the pair only a day's notice that he wouldn't be present on their special day due to a sick relative.

The jilted bride and groom claim that the "My Fair Wedding" star's absence left them scrambling to put the wedding together before the ceremony. According to the couple, Tutera tripled the cost of their wedding and neglected to provide invitations, flowers and a wedding cake.

While Tutera has not personally responded to the allegations, his publicist released a statement to the "Today" show: "David Tutera always strives to execute his clients' vision and to make their wedding a special day they will never forget. It is unfortunate that Santana/Perez were unhappy with their wedding and felt they had to take legal action."

This isn't the first time that the celebrity wedding planner has faced legal issues. In March 2011, Boston bride Melissa Chin sued Tutera after he failed to show up at her lavish $300,000 Singapore wedding. According to the Daily Mail, the case was settled out of court.
