Our friends at GrubHub broke down the data to reveal 8 totally random facts about Washingtonians' burger-ordering habits. What does this say about residents of the nation's capital?
1. Salmon burgers are nearly 40 percent more popular here than the rest of the U.S.
2. Almost 11 percent of burgers ordered in D.C. come with pepper jack cheese.
3. Washingtonians are 85 percent more likely to order a Kaiser roll than residents of other cities.
4. Salsa is about 16 times (almost 1500 percent!) more popular as a burger topping in Washington than elsewhere.
5. You're 55 percent more likely to find a fried egg on a hamburger in D.C. than anywhere else.
6. Ketchup is the most popular condiment: almost 15 percent of burgers served here are topped with it.
7. The most popular burger in D.C. (based on GrubHub takeout and delivery orders): The Wingo Burger at Wingo's in Georgetown.
8. Four percent of GrubHub orders in Washington contain a burger (compared to 18 percent of orders in burger-loving Fayetteville, N.C.).
