Earlier this year at a Six Flags theme park in Texas, a 52-year-old women fell to her death when the safety bar failed during her ride on the roller coaster Texas Giant. Despite rides being statistically very safe, after tragic accidents like this, the public tends to take a closer look at these mechanical attractions to make sure they're as safe as they can be. This infographic shows amusement park deaths over the last decade, with a more specific focus on roller coasters.
