'Deadliest Catch': Jake Could Lose His Job After His Latest Temper Explosion (VIDEO)

'Deadliest Catch': Punch Could Cost Jake His Job

Jake Anderson reached his boiling point on "Deadliest Catch," and then he snapped. He was feeling frustrated over his position on the Northwestern, worrying that he might never move up. Add to that the stress and exhaustion of a 20-hour shift on the cold, wet sea, and he was a powderkeg waiting to blow.

It happened when Matt, another member of the crew, criticized Jake's work. Jake responded by punching Matt. Some other guys broke up the fight, but Jake was still fired up.

When asked what the problem was, Jake responded, "He opened his mouth!” He tried to throw off the other guys who were trying to diffuse the situation. "Stay the f*ck away from me," he insisted. "This is none of your business!”

This isn't the first time Jake and Matt have fought, either. Five years ago they came to blows and were given an ultimatum: the next one to throw a punch on the boat is done. Even though it's been five years, Jake was the one to throw that punch. Is he through?

For now, Jake’s fate is up in the air. Will he ever be able to keep his cool?

"Deadliest Catch" continues on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Discovery.
