Delta Emergency Landing After Windshield Shatters Midair

Shattered Windshield Forces Jet To Make Emergency Landing

A Delta jet made an emergency landing over the weekend when one of the cockpit windows shattered during the flight. No one was injured, but one passenger managed to snap a frightening photo after the plane had landed:

The Boeing 767-300 had been en route to Los Angeles from Atlanta when the windshield cracked, forcing the plane to land in Albuquerque, according to CNN.

"Our initial information was that the outside part of the windshield shattered but the interior part remained intact," FAA spokesman Lynn Lunsford told CNN email.
