Demi Lovato Dedicates 'Warrior' To Bruce Jenner

Demi Lovato Beautifully Dedicates Song To Bruce Jenner

Actress and singer Demi Lovato took some time during her New Zealand concert on Saturday, April 25, to dedicate a song to Bruce Jenner following the athlete's 20/20 interview about his gender identity.

Lovato joked during the introduction to her song "Warrior" that she didn't know who Jenner was prior to "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" -- and that her fans probably didn't either.

"I want to dedicate it to someone who became an even bigger hero last night: Bruce Jenner," Lovato tells the crowd. "He was honest and he was open with his story. And whether you agree with it or not, he probably saved so many lives and educated so many people."

Lovato was one of a number of celebrities to offer their support to Jenner following his public discussion about identifying as a woman. including Lady Gaga, Andy Cohen and Jimmy Fallon.

Check out the dedication in the video above.

Note: Considering that Jenner has identified as, “for all intents and purposes, a woman,” but has not yet indicated that he would like to be known by a new name or female pronouns, this story uses male pronouns.
