Demi Lovato Taking A 'Break' From Twitter

Is Demi Lovato Quitting Twitter?

Singer Demi Lovato's 5.6 million Twitter followers are going to be sad to learn the 19-year-old popstar is taking break from the microblogging service.

On Jan. 21, Lovato wrote, "Can't please everyone," and a moment later she announced:

The singer has been quite active on Twitter, using the site to speak out about eating disorders and body image, and even generated enough controversy to convince Disney to pull episodes from "Shake It Up" and "So Random" that contained jokes about eating disorders.

Lovato's need for a "Twitter break" comes after she reportedly broke up with 31-year-old actor, Wilmer Valderrama. Rumors of the split began to circulate after Lovato wrote on Jan. 10, "Loyalty is EVERYTHING.. I'm thankful for my friends who stand by my side," and then quoted Marilyn Monroe, writing: "A wise girl kisses but doesn't love, listens but doesn't believe, and leaves before she is left." Minutes later Demi also wrote, "The smartest thing a woman can ever learn, is to never need a man."

Neither Lovato or Valderrama have confirmed the split, however, Life & Style reports the two were spotted at Hollywood hotspot Beacher's Madhouse on Jan. 18th. According to the report, Lovato was sitting with friend Kim Kardashian when Wilmer walked over and kissed both of them on the cheek. A source said that as the night went on Demi and Wilmer "couldn't keep their hands off each other"-- even dancing close to 50 Cent's "In Da Club."

We can't help but wonder if the "trouble" Demi says she gets herself into on Twitter are perhaps the tweets that implied she and Wilmer were over?
