WATCH: College Kick Returner Suffers BOWEL Injury

Arkansas Razorbacks kick returner Dennis Johnson will miss the rest of the season after suffering a bowel injury in their 31-7 victory against Louisiana-Monroe. The injury required surgery shortly after the game.

Johnson was hit returning a kick and the ball was pushed into his midsection, according to reports. He was seen throwing up on the sidelines after the play.

"We're not even thinking about timetables for his return right now. We're just thinking about his health," coach Bobby Petrino told the Arkansas News. "Hopefully he'll improve. He's doing well. He was up walking, they've got him up walking. He's very, very sore from the surgery. We're encouraged by everything the doctors are telling us on how he's doing health wise."

Petrino also said they initially thought it was a rib injury. "When we were out on the field, in the locker room, toward the end of the game, he started throwing up and then they knew it wasn't a rib injury and got him to the hospital."
