After a tough year and long recovery, Deryck Whibley has something beautiful to celebrate.
The Sum 41 frontman wed fiancée Ariana Cooper in a romantic ceremony on Sunday in Los Angeles, reports People. The couple held their big day at the Hotel Bel Air, where they exchanged vows under an altar decorated with flowers.
"It was a classic wedding and a beautiful day," an insider told Us magazine. "The bride and groom couldn’t be happier."
The couple's wedding photographer, Duke Photography, shared a few stunning images from the celebration on Instagram, including this shot of the bride looking gorgeous in her strapless gown. Cooper accessorized with a dainty hairpiece and wore a pair of Converse Chuck Taylors.
He also shared an image of Whibley and Cooper looking happy and in love as they walked arm in arm.
This is Whibley's second marriage. He was married to Avril Lavigne for four years until their split in 2010. In April 2014, Whibley suffered a near-death experience after his liver and kidneys failed from serious alcohol abuse.
"There are so many exciting things now. So many things are new for me," he told People of his recovery this past April. "I'd never done anything sober. I've been a hard-partying drinker since I was 17 ... Now there's this whole world out there and things I'm realizing I've never done."
