Diana Ross Is The Ultimate Diva In A Scarf And Hoops (PHOTO)

This soulful girl had some serious style.

As front woman of the most iconic girl group in history, and with 70 hit singles under her belt, Diana Ross is undoubtedly a music legend. But Ross' first love was fashion: She studied design, millinery and pattern-making and worked at a department store in high school. In the early years of The Supremes, she acted as the group's costume designer, seamstress and makeup artist. Along with her amazing pipes it was her glamorous sense of style that really made her stand out, and eventually led to her solo career. The 1975 film "Mahogony" only cemented her fashion icon status; Diana played the part of an aspiring fashion designer with a to-die-for wardrobe. Think trademark Diana: Grecian maxi dresses, false lashes, towering heels and lots of attitude.

Even without her signature curly 'do in this 1982 photo she looks absolutely fabulous. Ever the fashion chameleon Diana goes for a 1920s flapper-inspired look with a short bob, dramatic eyes and a scarf that doubles as a hat. Will you get in touch with your inner diva and try Diana's look?
