Diane Kruger Doesn't Let Her Fine Hair Keep Her Down

Diane Kruger Doesn't Let Her Fine Hair Keep Her Down

As the saying goes, you always want what you don't have. And this couldn't be more true when it comes to hair.

Whether you rely on hair extensions to add fullness or you have a precise hair straightening routine to smooth out frizz, we're all willing to try just about anything to get the hair we've always dreamed of. Even glamorous celebrities like Diane Kruger can relate to this.

The German-born beauty has been forthcoming about her struggles with styling her fine hair. In an interview with Elle Canada, Kruger said, "I have fine hair and I fight with it every day!"

Well, it appears as though Kruger has come out on top winning.

At the screening for FX's "The Bridge" in Beverly Hills, California on Tuesday, the actress' fine hair was anything but flat. Celebrity hairstylist Kylee Heath helped Kruger achieve a look that was "full of soft texture" by using a combination of thickening sprays and a 1 and 1/4-inch curling iron.

Here are Heath's step-by-step instructions to try it yourself at home:

Step 1: Start by spraying freshly-shampooed hair with Leonor Greyl's Spray Structure Naturelle at the roots. Then spritz Original Mineral Atonic Thickening Spray from the roots to the ends.

Step 2: Comb the products through and blowdry hair with a round boar bristle brush, like this one by Ibiza.

Step 3: Apply Leonor Greyl Voluforme (a setting spray) throughout the roots.

Step 4: Wrap small sections of hair around a curling iron for added texture. Be sure to wrap the front pieces away from the face.

Step 5: After curls cool, massage roots to break up the waves. Finish with a spritz of Oscar Blandi Lacca Hairspray and tame flyways with a flexible hold cream like Kevin Murphy Easy Rider.
