Dildo Assault Case Comes To Shocking End

Sentence announced in 'fake-penis' ruse

A transgender man who used a fake penis to romance a woman walked free Tuesday despite admitting to sexual assault.

Kyran Lee, 25, received a suspended, two-year sentence in a British court, according to reports.

The decision closes out a case that began in 2012 when Lee identified as a woman named Fiona Manson. Manson presented as a man while courting a single mother online. When phone sex evolved into sex, a fully clothed Manson had intercourse with the woman while using a sex toy, the Worksop Guardian reported. The lights were turned off.

If I had thought for one moment that this was a case where his motivation was to get into bed with a woman to sexually satisfy himself, I would have no hesitation in imposing an immediate custodial sentence, but it is not that situation,” Judge Michael Heath said in Lincoln Crown Court, per the Guardian.

The unnamed victim discovered the ruse when she saw Manson, still presenting as female, working at a McDonald's, the Sun noted. The accused later pleaded guilty to sexual assault by penetration in 2014. Sentencing was delayed while Lee was tried on another charge of sexual assault. Lee was cleared of those charges, the Telegraph said.

In a somewhat similar case, a British woman was sentenced to eight years in prison last month for impersonating a man to carry on a sexual relationship. She, too, used a dildo, insisting that her female victim wear a blindfold because she claimed she was disfigured by cancer and a car accident.
