Disney Recalls Darth Vader Baby Wear Over Choking Fear

Disneyland 60th anniversary bodysuits also affected

The Dark Lord of the Sith could now be a danger to babies.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission on Tuesday posted a recall notice for Darth Vader infant bodysuits because of a choking hazard.

The outfits, along with those bearing a Disneyland 60th anniversary design, were sold at Disneyland, Walt Disney World and Disney-themed cruise ships, the CPSC noted. About 10,000 of the units sold in 2015 may be affected. The snaps can detach, "posing a choking hazard to young children," the commission wrote.

No injuries have been reported.

Those who purchased the garment in question are urged to call Walt Disney Parks and Resorts toll-free at 844-722-1444 for a refund or visit www.disneyparks.com and click on "Recall Notice."

Of course, in the Star Wars saga, Darth Vader famously chokes adversaries and subordinates, simply by raising his fingers. The irony is strong with this one.
