Disneyland Is Closing These Attractions To Make Room For Star Wars Land

Has the force gone too far?

Nothing can stop the force... not even iconic Disneyland rides, apparently.

Disneyland will permanently close a number of attractions next month to make room for its upcoming Star Wars-themed land, the Los Angeles Times reports.

This news comes a few months after it was revealed that a few other attractions will close temporarily during construction on the 14-acre Star Wars area.

All in all, six attractions will close temporarily, and four will close for good. The lost attractions aren't the most beloved -- who knew Frontierland had a petting zoo?! -- but their disappearance will be felt all the same. Here's the full rundown:

Permanent Closures

Big Thunder Ranch

Big Thunder Ranch Barbecue

Big Thunder Ranch petting zoo

Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree

Temporary Closures

Fantasmic!

Mark Twain Riverboat

Sailing Ship Columbia

Pirates Lair on Tom Sawyer Island

Disneyland Railroad

Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes

A number of Star Wars attractions are already open at Disneyland as part of a special rollout known as Season of the Force. There's no set opening date for the official Star Wars area yet, but we know it's gonna be HUGE when it arrives.

May the force be with you, travelers.
