Do Fat Burners Really Work?

Okay friends, all the sarcasm aside, we have determined that the pills only magically "work" when you are doing the right things, and they don't work when you are not. This says to me that you can accomplish the same types of result without them! So why put that garbage in your body?

Let me give you a perfect example of what these so-called fat burners do. Note, this isn't some scientific study filled with technical jargon, and all sorts of fancy complicated terminology. No, this is a real life, practical, straight up and simple explanation of my experience with fat burners.

Back in the olden days when I used to take fat burners, also known as thermogenic supplements, I used to live life two ways. One way was healthy, and the other was not so healthy. Allow me to elaborate on what I mean by this.

There were periods of time where I was training really hard, and eating clean, resting, and so on. During those periods, it would seem as though magically, those fat burners were amazingly working. Well would you look at that, Angel is taking fat burners, and he's losing weight. Those things must work, look at how much body weight he has already loss!

Then there were other times where I was having an off training period, during this time, I'd eat garbage, train infrequently, but I'd still continue taking the fat burners. However, suddenly, the magic of the pills stopped working. What is this sorcery? What happened, why are they no longer working?

Why is it that the fat burners only seemed to burn fat, when I was doing the things that one is required to do for burning off excess fat? The same things that I am doing today, minus the fat burners, and still burning fat and losing weight! That's fascinating.

Years ago, I ended up at the doctor's office having my heart examined. This was because I continued to feel my heart beating extremely fast, for very long periods of time. Not to mention that I would become terribly, terribly sick immediately after I stopped taking the pills for a few hours. Sad to say, these fat burners made me physically addicted. You can read more about that on this older post.

In summary, I'd advise against taking any of these so-called magic pills in order to lose weight. If you haven't read my other HuffPost piece on shortcuts, now would be a good time. When it comes to fitness, there are no magic pills, no shortcuts, only hard work and effort!

I wish you the best of luck, and I'm truly sorry for having to bring you this hard dose of reality, especially so close to the summer time. Don't hate me, this is for your own good!
