Dodd: Changing The Filibuster Rules Would Be 'Foolish' (VIDEO)

On Morning Joe today, Sen. Chris Dodd (D-Conn.) said that changing the filibuster rules would be "foolish."

"There's nothing wrong with partisanship... We've got to get over this notion that there's something inherently evil about partisanship. This country was founded in partisanship." Dodd continued, "I'm totally opposed to the idea of changing the filibuster rules. I think that's foolish, in my view."

Dodd isn't the first Democrat to lean against other members of his party who have pushing to eliminate the filibuster. Last week, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) told reporters he didn't think it would happen:

"I'm totally familiar with his idea," Reid said of the latest filibuster-reform resolution, from Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa). "It takes 67 votes, and that, kind of, answers the question."
