Gay Couple From Dodgers Kiss Cam Appear On 'The Last Word'

Gay Couple Opens Up About Groundbreaking Dodgers Kiss Cam Moment

The gay couple who became a viral sensation after kissing on the Dodgers Kiss Cam is speaking out about their experience.

Steven and Rick Simone-Friedland made the Dodgers stadium crowd -- and the Internet -- go wild with their kiss on national television earlier this week. The kiss was especially significant since two women were kicked out of the ballpark in 2000 for kissing during a game.

However, the reception for this couple seemed more than positive. The pair appeared on Lawrence O'Donnell's program "The Last Word," to discuss the experience.

"I turned to my husband, I turned to Rick, and I said 'You know, this could go badly. This could not go well,'" Steven explained. "But then we did it, because we thought it would be just so fun to do, and then we heard the crowd — and that was really unexpected, and beautiful, and affirming."
