I first started blogging in high school, about 8 years ago (which is way longer than I care to admit). For the longest time, I kept it a secret. I was worried that my friends would make fun of me, but I loved having an outlet for all of my crazy emotions. Since then it has turned into my favorite hobby, and side job. I never imagined blogging would turn into such a huge part of the internet, but it has. Not only should every website have a blog, but some may argue that they need to in order to stand out on the internet.

What started out as a way to give people a new way to share their stories and feelings, has become a lead source of information available to the world at the click of a button. The companies who create a strong presence online are the ones who get "clicked" the most when people are surfing for information, which draws valuable traffic to their sites. Blogging has become a way for corporations to really connect with their customers, and even attracts more customers to a company. Blogging gives your company a voice, and can even start a conversation with consumers.

The main goal your company should have with it's blog post is to create great content. This will help your page get noticed by Google, and you will get more traffic that way as well. Aside from having great content, you should make sure that your paragraphs are formatted nicely, you keep it to the point, and add images when necessary. These tips and many more will help you create blog posts that help get your website noticed.

According to Forbes, every business should have a blog section on their website. Most companies goal is to gain a profit off of a service or product, blogging can only help those efforts. Blogging helps create authority in your "niche" or industry, making you a household name when it comes to what you are selling. Not only that, but blogging can improve your conversion rates. The key to seeing that improvement is by keeping your blog active and engaged. This gives off the impression that your business is alive and thriving, and your customers will take notice. Businesses who blog actively experience a 13X increase in ROI every year. Think you could use that extra boost in business? Get that blog going!

It's no question that the internet has changed the way the world works, especially in terms of marketing and sales, but that doesn't have to be a bad thing. Embrace the change, and use it to your advantage. Those who take note of the importance of a blog now, are a few steps ahead of those who won't join the bandwagon for a few more years. As a consumer, I am way more likely to stay on a website that has a blog, and possibly check out their sales pages, than I would if it was a boring site with no content to offer. The internet is bursting at the seams with excellent freelance writers like myself, who would be glad to help you get your blog up and running! Don't be left behind, and give your web visitors something to stick around for.
