We Let A Bunch Of Dogs Decide Who Will Win Best Picture

Experts have already made their predictions for who will win Best Picture at the 2015 Oscars this year. But who wants to listen to them when we could let some adorable (and some adoptable!) four-legged friends do the honors instead? Trust dogs, not people, people.

With help from The Dogist, aka photographer Elias Weiss Friedman, and our friends at Badass Brooklyn Animal Rescue, these 12 lovely canines placed their votes for Best Picture from the following nominees: "Whiplash," "American Sniper," "Birdman," "The Grand Budapest Hotel," "The Imitation Game," "Selma," "The Theory of Everything," and "Boyhood."

Dog treats, while present in the voting room, did not affect the decision of the voters.*

*Okay maybe a little bit.

Let's meet the voters and see who they picked!

Bebe Neuwirth
The Dogist
The gorgeous Bebe is looking for a home! Here's what Badass Brooklyn Animal Rescue had to say about Miss Bebe:
Bebe Neuwirth is a senior sweetheart who hails originally from Georgia. Approximately 12 years old, we met her ourselves on a recent shelter visit and knew she was Badass from the moment our eyes met. She was covered in bugs, bumps, and experience told us probably had heartworm (correctly, it turns out), but we couldn't stand to leave her behind. A kill shelter's no place for this gal! Bebe's a stunner with an unmistakable light her eyes in goodness in her heart. She's chill and well-behaved and wants only a warm bed and loving hand to pet her Big Bird face for the rest of her days. Bebe does have breast cancer from a lifetime of breeding and babies (risk factors for mammary cancer in canines). We are currently treating with chemotherapy. We don't know exactly what's in store but she remains spunky and feeling good. She deserves her very own home to ensure that the rest of her days will be spent in the most Badass way! Time's a wastin'. Get an app in for this special lady today! We will work with the right family to make special arrangements in adopting Bebe. Please submit an application on our website at www.badassbk.com and we'll work together to figure out the details!
& Bebe's Pick Is...
"Boyhood"
Walter White
The Dogist
There's so much to love about Walter White, but we'll let Badass Brooklyn do the talking:
Walter White is our little genius who's getting to live the life he wants after a brush with death in a high kill shelter. He's approximately 3 to 4 years old and weighs around 20 pounds, including his impressive beard situation. He's housebroken and cratetrained and has a tail wag for everybody. Walt loves other dogs and gets excited to see them and appears very grateful to the folks who rescued him. He has an independent streak for sure but family is also very important. Canine Walter White is not the danger. He is the cuteness! Walter recently had surgery to remove bladder stones and will likely need to be on a special diet for life to prevent recurrence but otherwise seems healthy. He is neutered, UTD on vaccinations, and microchipped. To foster or adopt, please visit our website at www.badassbk.com.
& Walter's Pick Is...
"Birdman"
Jansen Panettiere
The Dogist
We'll let Badass Brooklyn take it away:
Jansen Panettiere is a 2 year old hero! He and his sister Hayden (adopted!) donated blood to help other dogs, including 10 Badasses, beat distemper last November. When we later learned that they needed homes, making them Badasses was a no brainer! Handsome Jansen has a cool, engaging vibe that's perfect for turning heads and making friends all at the same time. He weighs around 65 pounds of husky steed. (He's a mix). Seriously, it's like staring at the sun he's so gorgeous. He knows some important stuff too, thanks to the Badass training he's received at Balanced Life K9 Training. Jansen's housebroken, crate and remote collar-trained, wicked smart, and great at listening. He's young and athletic and makes an excellent buddy for jogging, hiking, and other outdoor activities. He'd love an active family to join on adventures. Adopt him here!
& Jansen's Pick Is...
"The Grand Budapest Hotel"

Meet Cooper the Corgi. This spritely 12-year-old competes in agility at the Westminister Dog Show. And man, can he rock a bow tie.
& Cooper's Pick Is...
"Boyhood"
Cote
The Dogist
Cote is an all-American dog (Border Collie/Husky mix, if you must know) and he is 4 years old. He's also a famed Westminister dog, so he can totally relate to the fierce Oscars' race. This is nothing to Cote!
& Cote's Pick Is...
"American Sniper"
Rene-Charles
The Dogist
Meet Rene-Charles, a little French bulldog with a big Instagram following. He's from New York City, and he's got the attitude and style to match. Follow Rene-Charles here.
& Rene-Charles' Pick Is...
"Birdman"
Riley Bean
The Dogist

& Riley's Pick Is...
Well, clearly Miss Riley had trouble deciding. She first went to "The Grand Budapest Hotel," then picked "The Theory Of Everything," and then finally decided on "The Imitation Game." "The Imitation Game" it is!
Hamilton
HamiltonPug/Instagram

Rufus
HamiltonPug/Instagram
And this is Hamilton's little brother, Rufus.Hamilton and Rufus weren't able to make it to the HuffPost office to cast their ballots -- they're busy dogs -- but they submitted their votes for "American Sniper."
Milo
@milomeetsworld/Instagram
Milo is a 3-year-old Maltese from Toronto, Canada. He's also an adorable fluffball that we would be honored to cuddle. Milo couldn't make it down to the states, but his pick is "Birdman." Follow Milo here.
Pumpkin Sunshine
@ps.ny/Instagram
Pumpkin Sunshine is the closest thing you'll get to a live teddy bear living in the Big Apple. He also enjoys organic food and a good nap. His choice for Best Picture is "Selma." Follow Pumpkin Sunshine here.

Okay, we'll admit it -- the dogs probably never saw these movies -- but hey, neither did you.
