Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2013 Backstage Beauty: Recreate The Sicilian Summertime Look (VIDEO)

Since we won't be flying off to Italy any time soon, we'll take what we can get.

The last few seasons, Dolce & Gabbana has served up a beauty look that could be simply described as "Sicilian summertime." And the gorgeous glowiness we saw at their latest runway show continued on that same theme. The master of it all, makeup artist Pat McGrath, used the Italian fashion house's cosmetics line to give the models luminous, slightly bronzed skin, sheer tinted lips and a Sophia Loren-esque cat-eye.

That last part, however, takes a steady hand, and McGrath herself is the first to concede that "this is one of the most difficult things to do in the world." But clever use of a brown eye pencil before black liquid liner will help prep the shape. In the video above, McGrath breaks down the entire look in easy-to-understand steps. And since we won't be summering in Sicily any time soon, we'll take what we can get.
