'Doll & Em' Trailer Hints At Total Hollywood Self-Absorption

Inside 'The Newsroom' Star's New HBO Show 'Doll & Em'

Meet Doll and Em. Dolly Wells ("Bridget Jones's Diary") and Emily Mortimer ("The Newsroom") are real-life best friends and now star in HBO's semi-improvised quasi-version of their life ... kind of. "Doll & Em" explores what happens when a successful actress hires her best friend as a personal assistant. HBO calls it "a bittersweet, intimate portrait of female friendship."

At a BAFTA screening in London, Mortimer said, “You take two friends who have always been equal, and then totally jeopardize their friendship by putting them in this situation, with all the best intentions in the world. And then it just gets fucked.”

Chloe Sevigny, Bradley Cooper and John Cusack are just a few of the big name cameos. Watch the 30-second teaser-trailer below.

"Doll & Em" will premiere two episodes every Wednesday, starting March 19, on HBO at 10 p.m. EST.
