SeaWorld Marriage Proposal Gives Us Another Reason To Love Dolphins

We already knew dolphins were some of the smartest animals, but we had no idea they were some of the most romantic.

That is, until we came across these adorable photos from Alex Rigby's marriage proposal to his girlfriend of three years, Debbie Preston. The British couple was at SeaWorld's Discovery Cove in Orlando, Fla. on Saturday to swim with dolphins. Towards the end of the swim, one of the dolphins was instructed to lob a special buoy at Preston that read, "Debbie, will you marry me?"

“Swimming with dolphins was a dream and I was nearly crying towards the end,” she told Today.com

Rigby worked with the SeaWorld staff to orchestrate the adorable proposal. He was worried that the buoy was going to delivered to the wrong person, but luckily, it went off without a hitch.

Once they were back on dry land, he got down on one knee and popped the question with the engagement ring he had waiting in a treasure box. Check out some more photos from the flippin' awesome proposal below.
