Friday night football games may be the norm at Decatur High School, but a recent game brought the crowd to their feet in a big way -- and all because of a surprise touchdown from a beloved player.
After being diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor, high school football star Dom Cooks had no choice but to watch his teammates play from the sidelines in his wheelchair week after week, according to KOMO News. But with a little support, the teen was able to get his feet back on the field for a night he'll always remember.
The Decatur High School and Auburn Mountainview teams decided to run an extra special play at halftime last Friday. Donning a pink T-shirt in support of breast cancer awareness, the Federal Way, Wash. student rose from his wheelchair and crossed the goal line with a football in hand. Of course, the victory wouldn't have been complete without a celebratory dance.

Travis Krages is another teen who recently got a taste of glory on the field. The 15-year-old, who has cerebral palsy and is confined to a wheelchair, has never missed a football practice. Turning a dream into a reality, the local team helped him score a touchdown when they pushed his wheelchair to the end zone to the cheers of spectators.
In yet another example of inspiring sportsmanship, Noah Van Vooren got the surprise of a lifetime when the Little Chute High School water boy was asked to put on a football uniform for the first time. The senior, who has Down syndrome, then proceeded to make a 35-yard touchdown for his team, after the opposing team allowed him to score.
