Don Young Re-Elected To The U.S. House

Rep. Don Young (R) was re-elected to Congress as Alaska's at-large representative, the Associated Press is projecting.

Young was first elected to Congress in 1972 and is the longest-serving Republican in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Though Young has faced corruption charges and is known for making various off-color remarks, his political resilience was again demonstrated Tuesday. He beat Democrat Forrest Dunbar, libertarian Jim McDermott and John Cox, who mounted a write-in campaign.
