Donald Sterling Sued By Alleged Ex-Lover

A former employee and alleged ex-lover of Donald Sterling's is suing the Los Angeles Clippers owner for allegedly subjecting her to racial discrimination and sexual harassment, and then firing her when she protested his reprehensible behavior.

According to documents obtained by the Hollywood Reporter, Maiko Maya King filed the lawsuit with the Los Angeles Superior Court Monday. The complaint claims that King was romantically involved with Sterling from 2005 to 2011, and that the plaintiff also worked for the 80-year-old businessman from December 2013 to May 2014.

The lawsuit alleges that King was subjected to a "steady stream of racially and sexually offensive comments" and behavior during her tenure as Sterling's employee.

King claims, for instance, that Sterling -- - who was banned for life from the NBA in April after an audio recording surfaced in which he can be heard making racist remarks -- "dangled money only if she would have sex with him" and would withhold her wages if she "refused to engage in the sexual acts that he wanted her to engage in." She also claims that Sterling would speak to her in a "vile and disgusting manner" while he masturbated, and would "grab her breasts or her butt" when they were in public.

Sterling allegedly also made her uneasy with racist comments. He is quoted in the complaint as telling her that "black people do not take care of their children" and that "Mexicans just do drive-by shootings."

King claims she complained about Sterling's racism and sexual harassment, but says he "retaliated" against her protests by firing her, per the suit.

Maxwell M. Blecher, an attorney representing Sterling in a lawsuit against the NBA, told the Los Angeles Times Monday that he wasn't aware of King's lawsuit.
