Donald Trump's remarks on abortion during a town hall with MSNBC last week -- where he called for a blanket ban on the procedure, and said there should be "some form of punishment" for women who had abortions thereafter -- drew ire from almost all of America.
The GOP front-runner has seesawed on the divisive issue, proclaiming to be "very pro-choice" in 1999. Following his recent comments to MSNBC, he said that federal abortion laws were set and "we have to leave it that way” -- only for his spokesperson to later clarify that Trump meant the laws would stay in place "until he is president" and that he would "allow the states to protect the unborn."
