Argentinian TV Station Trolls Donald Trump

The network got creative while promoting the upcoming Copa America soccer tournament.

Well played, Argentina.

A television network in the country has released an ad that trolls Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump ahead of the Copa America, a soccer tournament scheduled to take place in the U.S. next month -- the first time in history it hasn't been held in South America.

The ad shows images of soccer greats like Lionel Messi while playing audio of Trump calling for a wall to be built along the U.S. border because "our country is in serious trouble" due to "hundreds of thousands of people" and "total killers" coming from South America.

“The best you can do is not let us in,” the spot says in closing.

A Mexican television station repurposed Trump's comments in a similar fashion last year: It spliced together lines like, “When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best” and "We don’t have victories anymore” ahead of a soccer match between the U.S. and Mexico.

Editor's note: Donald Trump regularly incites political violence and is a serial liar, rampant xenophobe, racist, misogynist and birther who has repeatedly pledged to ban all Muslims -- 1.6 billion members of an entire religion -- from entering the U.S.
