WASHINGTON ― Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton responded in horror Friday to newly released footage of Donald Trump crudely talking about trying to have sex with a married woman.
“This is horrific,” Clinton said on Twitter, next to a link to the bombshell story in The Washington Post. “We cannot allow this man to become president.”
The 2005 video, published on Friday, includes audio of the Republican presidential nominee talking to “Access Hollywood” host Billy Bush about how he uses his celebrity to make sexual advances. Excerpts of those remarks appear uncensored below.
“I did try and fuck her,” Trump can be heard saying to Bush, referring to an unnamed woman. “I moved on her like a bitch, but I couldn’t get there. And she was married.”
Later, Trump says he can’t help himself when he’s around beautiful women and has to kiss them all. “When you’re a star they let you do it,” he says. “Grab them by the pussy. You can do anything.”
Clinton’s running mate, Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.), said the audio of Trump’s comments “makes me sick to my stomach.”
“I don’t like to even say the words that he’s used in the past when he calls women pigs, dogs and slobs,” Kaine told a CNN reporter during an event in Las Vegas. I didn’t like saying it on stage the other night when my mom and my wife sitting in the front row. But this is behavior that is just outrageous.”
Kaine added, “I should be surprised and shocked. I’m sad to say that I’m not.”
It’s not the first time Trump has made incredibly offensive comments about sex and women. Or the second time. Or the third. Or the― you get the point.
He’s speculated about having sex with Princess Diana, called a breastfeeding mother “disgusting,” insulted Fox News host Megyn Kelly, talked about not pulling out during sex with then-girlfriend-and-now-wife Melania, said it doesn’t matter what female reporters write “as long as you’ve got a young and beautiful piece of ass,” talked about not liking oral sex, ranked the “Desperate Housewives” cast by appearance, criticized flat-chested women, insulted the intelligence of beauty queens, bragged about women throwing themselves at him, joked about having sex with Melania on-air, and in his years on his reality show, “The Apprentice,” repeatedly demeaned women with sexist language.
