White House Chief of Staff John Kelly has denied a report that he called President Donald Trump an “idiot.”
“He always knows where I stand and he and I both know this story is total BS,” Kelly told NBC News on Monday. “I am committed to the president, his agenda, and our country.”
But that hasn’t stopped the insult from taking on a life of its own online:
John Kelly called Donald Trump an idiot but thank God he didn’t talk about his eye makeup or journalists would go bananas.

I miss the days when all the President's men weren't constantly having to deny calling him a moron or an idiot.

If JOHN Kelly is calling Trump an idiot behind the scenes, all the more reason to keep him. Smells like Ivanka and Jared leaking.

What would be worse: if John Kelly thinks Trump is an idiot or if he doesn’t?
— Michael Ian Black (@michaelianblack) May 1, 2018
I don't know if it's more shocking that John Kelly called the President an idiot or that someone in the Trump Administration told the truth.

Of course it goes without saying that John Kelly calling Donald Trump an idiot is a direct attack on Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ looks.

Feedback from Trump employees. @RealDonaldTrump is:

"a moron" (Tillerson)
"dumb as shit" (Cohn)
"a dope" (McMaster)
"an idiot" (Priebus, Mnuchin, Kelly)

It doesn’t take John Kelly calling Trump an idiot or Tillerson saying he’s a fucking moron for us to know what a complete an utter fool we have in the WH. It’s just unfortunate that the wheels of justice move so slowly. Confident the just end will come to the lying criminal.

So to recap: Trump's chief of staff has reportedly called our male president an idiot and "unhinged," while that same chief of staff has also allegedly created a toxic work environment for women partly due to his belief that they're more emotional than menhttps://t.co/zthJVmyVvP

Kelly can deny the report he called Trump an idiot, but given his record there is absolutely no reason whatsoever to believe him.

Remember when people from the Obama administration called Obama an idiot?

Nope, me either.
