Donald Trump is proving just how ready he is to take the White House, with a thoroughly confusing tweet about how Congress is structured.
The Twitter account for the conservative billionaire, who has entertained bids for the presidency and other offices, blasted a message of support for Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Monday. The only problem was the tweet implied the Senate minority leader is in line to become speaker -- as in House speaker.
Why would the people of Kentucky want a rookie Senator-- they have Sen. Mitch @McConnellPress who may be next Speaker & bring $'s to KY?

Perhaps Trump knows something we don't, but we believe McConnell has a better chance of rising to Senate majority leader than he does of taking the position currently held by Rep. John Boehner (R-Ohio). Though the Constitution sets no particular qualifications for speaker, the job has always been filled by a member of the House of Representatives.
McConnell is fighting a challenge from Kentucky Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes (D) in November's election.
