Donald Trump Once Gave 11-Year-Old Daniel Radcliffe The Worst Advice

Looks like Trump is still as blindly confident back then as he is now.

After nearly two decades in the spotlight, Daniel Radcliffe is a pro at red carpet events, press tours and talk show appearances.

But when the young actor was just starting to gain fame for his role as Harry Potter, TV appearances turned him into a ball of nerves. During an interview with Seth Meyers on Monday night, Radcliffe recalled his first-ever talk show appearance where he met none other than Donald Trump.

"It was my first time in New York and I was doing 'The Today Show" and I was like really nervous and 10 or 11 years old," Radcliffe said. "I'd never been on live TV before, and I was terrified."

The actor said that someone in Trump's entourage most likely coordinated the introduction, bringing The Donald over to meet him.

"They marched me over to him and I remember having some idea of who he was, but not really a full concept," Radcliffe said. "And he was like, 'How are you?' and I was like, 'I'm really nervous. I don't know what I'm gonna talk about on the show.' And he just said, 'You just tell them you met Mr. Trump.' To this day, I can’t even relate to that level of confidence."

Daniel Radcliffe: once just "The Boy Who Lived," but now "The Boy Who Lived (After Talking To Trump)."

Editor’s note: Donald Trump regularly incites political violence and is a serial liar, rampant xenophobe, racist, misogynist and birther who has repeatedly pledged to ban all Muslims — 1.6 billion members of an entire religion — from entering the U.S.
