After more than a year of covering the rallies of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, The New York Times has released a raw, unfiltered glimpse of the beliefs of some of his supporters.
The footage highlights the frequently irate and insolent ways that Trump supporters have taken to expressing their views, including a man who had been kicked out of a rally for wearing a shirt that said “Fuck Islam,” as well as rally-wide chants of racial and ethnic slurs. Such moments expose the reality of what is hardly conceivable to those who are not in attendance.
