On Friday, ex-Penn State football coach Jerry Sandusky appeared before a judge in a Centre County courtroom to argue for his bail restrictions to be loosened as he awaits his trail on child sex abuse charges. After leaving the courtroom, Sandusky addressed the media, lamenting his lack of freedom to even play with his dog on his deck.
Despite the the former Penn State defensive coordinator speaking with the press for several minutes, it turns out that his wife, Dottie, may have made this week's most emphatic statement to the members of the media covering this story. WPXI reporter Courtney Brennan and a photographer were almost run over by Jerry Sandusky's wife while doing a report prior to this most recent court appearance.
In the news clip above, Brennan explains that she and a photographer went to Sandusky's home a day before the hearing to report on complaints that police have received about the ex-coach watching children in a nearby park and elementary school from the back porch of his house.
"As we were putting that story together, we got a very unwelcome surprise," Brennan said.
While Brennan was recording a segment outside of Sandusky's home, she suddenly looked to her left and stopped talking. She quickly and calmly walked out of the shot while a car, driven by Dottie, sped up and pulled into the driveway.
Brennan told Pittsburgh's WKST-FM 96.1 that Sandusky's wife "revved her engine at us before she came flying up the hill into her driveway."
Joseph Amendola, Sandusky's attorney, pulled up outside the home almost immediately afterward. Brennan then let Amendola explain that the complaints about Sandusky looking at children from his porch are false.

On Friday, Sandusky asked a judge to allow him to see relatives, including supervised visits with his grandchildren. The Centre County court judge could rule on his request early next week.
"I've associated with thousands of young people over the years," Sandusky said after the hearing. "And now, all of a sudden, because of allegations and perceptions that have been tried to be created of me, now I can't take our dog on my deck and throw out biscuits to him."
Sandusky has been arrested twice since Nov. 5 and charged with 52 criminal counts of child sex abuse involving 10 victims over 15 years.
