Doug Savant Wants Tom And Lynette Back Together On 'Desperate Housewives'

Wendy Williams started out her interview with "Desperate Housewives" actor Doug Savant by berating him for leaving his TV wife Lynette Scavo (Felicity Huffman) to move to Paris with his new girlfriend. "Lynette and Tom Scavo are everything ... and your children, and your relationship with the community, and now you're going off to Paris with some other woman ... are you serious?" she asked incredulously.

"But Wendy, you're blaming me!" he protested, as Wendy shook her first at "Desperate Housewives" creator Marc Cherry. Savant then told her that he wasn't a fan of the development, either. "I hated that idea," Savant said. "I so adore Tom and Lynette, I'm so passionate about them as a couple, and I thought that they were a great representation of a good marriage on television."

But Savant offered some hope that the couple might reconcile as the series nears its conclusion. "They still, at the end of the day, with all of whatever dysfunction and problems that they had ... still have a profound love and respect for one another. Listen, it's going to be so emotional and great if we can find our way back together."
