- George Strait: Amarillo By Morning (We both love this one. It was released at a time that I was traveling almost nonstop, so I really related.)

- Ronan Keating: When You Say Nothing At All (Like a lot of couples, it really describes our bond and ease of being together without having to flap our mouths all the time!)

- Michael Bublé: Home (Speaks to the road warrior in me. Like Dorothy said, "There's no place like home!")

- Dionne Warwick: Walk On By (First full-blown concert I ever attended. Incredible voice and experience. Will never forget it.)
- Cher: Believe (This whole album dropped right when I was launching the Dr. Phil show, and I played it EVERY MORNING in my office before walking over to the stage. EVERY MORNING!)
- Kid Rock: Only God Knows Why (Except for "the pills," it was like he read my mind!)
- Buffalo Springfield: For What It's Worth (Race riots KC, high school)
- George Thorogood & The Destroyers: Bad To The Bone (Every guy's secret fantasy self-image! HA!)
- Smokey Robinson: Cruisin' (What Robin and I did AND to this song. Too broke to do anything else! Now, we have the honor of calling Smokey a friend! How surreal is that?)
- Tina Turner: The Best (Inspirational to Robin, and now we have the honor of calling HER a friend! How blessed are our lives?)
- Brooks & Dunn: Neon Moon (Our dear friends Ronnie and Kix, and one of the all-time great songs in any genre! LOVE IT!)
- Janis Joplin: Piece of My Heart
- Redbone: Come and Get Your Love
- Anne Murray: Snow Bird and Could I Have This Dance (These 2 songs accompanied Robin in the wee hours of the mornings when she was up feeding and rocking Jay when he was first born. So peaceful and so soothing. Robin recently has become friends with sweet Anne and loved telling her this story of such a loving time in her life.)
