Zachary Bird, a former doctor at Weston's The Body Sculptique Cosmetic Center, spit a mouthful of blood on the Florida Highway Patrol trooper who was arresting him on DUI last Sunday. He also broke the patrol car glass with his face.

Bird was speeding and nearly sideswiped a Florida Highway Patrol car in Titusville around 1:30 a.m. before cops pulled him over and he failed field sobriety tests, the Orlando Sentinel reports.

"He was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI," FHP Sgt. Kim Montes told WHDH. "He was placed in the back of the trooper's Dodge Charger, and that's when everything went bad."

As the video shows, Bird started yelling, "All of the officers are stealing my money! Stealing my money!" referring to the $50,000 he had on him and in his BMW. He then banged his head against the partition in the car until his forehead bled while the trooper yelled "Hey, stop banging your head!"

"When they got him out of the vehicle, he then spit blood all over one of my sergeant's faces," Montes told WPTV.

For spitting, Bird was charged with battery on an officer, reports NBC 2, with other charges pending.

Bird is a anesthesiologist contracted by Team Health, and is suspended until an investigation into the incident is complete, Local 6 reports. He is no longer allowed to conduct procedures at Parrish Medical Center in Titusville, where he works.

“He will not be returning to Parrish. We have informed this employee that he will not be allowed to return,” hospital spokeswoman Natalie Sellers told Florida Today.
