For us mortals, the morning after a fancy affair involves a big breakfast and sweatpants. For Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, it involves Dolce & Gabbana.
Just hours after she set the Internet ablaze in a red bespoke Jenny Packham gown and repeat tiara, the duchess stepped out in yet another gorgeous look, accompanying Prince William for a day of royal duties during Chinese President Xi Jinping's state visit to the United Kingdom.
Matching her pumps and clutch to her eggplant lace Dolce dress and its totally on-trend turtleneck -- and of course, that perfectly coiffed head of hair -- Duchess Kate looked radiant as usual, despite the rainy weather.
What is a little unusual for Kate, however, was opting for an Italian designer and a $2,857 price tag. Though the future queen does wear high-end clothes, she's often spotted in British designers and High Street labels.
It's almost like the grown-up formal version of Britney Spear's iconic Dolce & Gabbana dress from the 2001 Video Music Awards. Almost.
