Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson Saves Puppy From Drowning, Melts Our Hearts In The Process

Our hero.

After sharing an adorable throwback photo of himself hanging out with a dog last week, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson one-upped himself by actually saving a pup's life.

The wrestler-turned-actor just adopted two French bulldog puppies -- Hobbs and Brutus -- and as soon as he brought them home, he had to rescue one. The Rock shared a photo of the aftermath on Instagram along with a play-by-play caption of how it all went down.

"Bring them home and immediately take them outside so they can start learning how to 'handle their business and potty like big boys.' I set them both down and they both take off in a full sprint and fall right into the deep end of our pool," he wrote, adding, "Hobbs immediately starts doggy paddling while Brutus (like a brick) sink heads first to the bottom of the pool."

Naturally, the "Fast & Furious" star sprinted after the pups and dove into the pool to save little Brutus from drowning. Once he was out of the water, Brutus was a little shaken up, but otherwise totally fine.

"He was a little delirious.. took a moment, threw up all the water he swallowed and looked up at me as if to say, 'Thank God you didn't have to give me mouth to mouth!' and then ran off to play with his brother," Johnson wrote.

Looks like Brutus and Hobbs are in great hands.
